Preston’s Top Picks – Vol. 4

Preston Sprinkle

I don’t know if you remember, but last October I had Daniel Bannoura on Theology in the Raw (ep. #1122), and it became the most downloaded episode of 2023! Daniel also spoke at the Exiles conference back in April and gave a very challenging talk

Anyway, Daniel and his friends launched a podcast called “Across the Divide” to provide a space for theological conversations about Palestine-Israel. The podcast explores the intersection of the Christian faith and social justice in Palestine-Israel and its relationship to the church in the West. Through interviews and in-depth conversations, the podcast seeks to provide a space for thoughtful and critical conversations that reflect on the situation in Palestine-Israel through the lens of faith and peace-making.

Currently, Across the Divide is finishing a fascinating 7-episode series from the recent Christ at the Checkpoint conference in Bethlehem (yes, the Bethlehem) last May. The series includes a number of presentations and interviews with speakers from the conference, such as Shane Claiborne, Lisa Sharon Harper, Palestinian theologians Anton Deik, Lamma Mansour, and others. I highly recommend you listen to these episodes!

Check out Across the Divide here. Also consider becoming a Patreon supporter to help sustain the work they’re doing and get access to extended interviews, merch, and more.

Preston reads/listens to everything recommended on Top Picks. Communications from Theology in the Raw and Preston Sprinkle can contain paid partnership.
