Paul Copan (Ph.D., Philosophy, Marquette University) is a Christian theologian, analytic philosopher, apologist, and author. He is currently a professor at the Palm Beach Atlantic University (Florida) and holds the endowed Pledger Family Chair of Philosophy and Ethics.
He is author or editor of over 40 books, including works such as Is God a Moral Monster? and the forthcoming Is God a Vindictive Bully?–both of which are the focus of our conversation.
In this episode, we discuss several problem passages in the Old Testament including the conquest of Canaan, the mauling of the young men who taunted Elisha (2 Kings 2), the killing of Uzzah who touched the ark (2 Sam 6), and the seemingly strange statements about women in Deuteronomy 21-22.
