#952 – A Christian Perspective on Race and Racism: Rasool Berry
Preston Sprinkle
Rasool serves the teaching pastor at The Bridge Church in Brooklyn and as a team member with Embark, a non-profit focused on millennials. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Africana Studies and Sociology.
In this episode, Rassol and I talk about a biblical theology of ethnic reconciliation and bring his to bear on the current conversation about race and racism in the church and America. We talk about reparations, systemic racism, how racism is in our cultural climate, affirmative action, and many other topics.
Theology in the Raw Conference – Exiles in Babylon
At the Theology in the Raw conference, we will be challenged to think like exiles about race, sexuality, gender, critical race theory, hell, transgender identities, climate change, creation care, American politics, and what it means to love your democratic or republican neighbor as yourself. Different views will be presented. No question is off limits. No political party will be praised. Everyone will be challenged to think. And Jesus will be upheld as supreme.
